Analysis

Analysis
Structured Process, we chose to analyze the sales aspect of the business because the process of it has the same rules and it is done a specific way every time by utilizing information systems like Square. The main usage of this Square system is for our structure sales process at Track Five Coffee. Our employees are trained to complete a sales transaction using the Square system that allows an easy transaction between the customer's order and the form of payment.
Components
Hardware: The hardware from Square that its used in Track Five is the stand with the card reader, chip reader and the iPad along with the receipt printer.
Software: For software in Track Five Coffee the software has the basic tools any POS software does but with added features like being able to send invoices, start selling gift cards, creating customer profiles, email marketing as well as receipt and tipping options.
Procedures: When a customer walks in they can pay with cash, credit, or even apple pay, they are welcomed by the employee who simultaneously utilizes the Square POS Software to provide with a simple and fast sale transaction.
People: These would be both the workers and the customers as they both interact with the Square system.
Data: Square can keep the orders of customers for days so one can check a mistake or have them for records. It can also store the data of the regular customers so they no longer input their phone numbers but that is already saved when they pay with the same card.

Problems
The hardware is not perfect, there was been times when the chip reader disconnects and workers have to start swiping cards again. This is very inconvenient for the customers who go to Track Five and are used to paying with apple pay. Sometimes the internet fails and without the internet processing any credit card becomes risky because there is no instant record, and gifts cards are no longer useable. These are the main problems that occur with the Square POS system and though they are fixed after a couple of tries, there should be a way to end obstacles like these that prevent from always providing the customers with the best service, product using effective information systems.
